Hollywood monster-maker Norman Cabrera joins issue 05.

we wanted to do this crazy outlandish music video that was in the spirit of the 80s but with modern effects, modern cinematography, modern editing. Ryan and I don’t feel that enough of that stuff’s being done, so it was a labour of love.

DEK is thrilled to welcome designer, sculptor and makeup FX artist Norman Cabrera to issue 05. Known for designing and creating many iconic creatures and characters from film (From Dusk Till Dawn, Ghostbusters: Afterlife) and TV (The Walking Dead), Norman chats with us about the future of practical effects, memorable projects and recreating the MTV glory days on the latest music video for Municipal Waste.
